AUTOSCOPY

0  25  75  100 50 I had so much fun completing this assignment! The hardship I was trying to portray is my constant overthinking. It becomes very hard to make decisions when my mind doesn't stop racing, and this can be extremely overwhelming. I decided that a psychedelic background would demonstrate the craziness that I feel beneath my physical appearance. I also used the plastic wrap filter to show how this could resemble being trapped. I really enjoyed doing this and thought it turned out really cool.

SOMEWHERE

I have been fan girling over Justin Bieber for years and years now, and figured if there was anywhere I would want to be, it would be sitting next to him. This project was way more difficult than anticipated and was really hard to perfect. I am not completely happy with the outcome, but thought the idea was funny!
This series consists of five photos that I have personally colorized from a black and white photo. First is the realistic one, where I colorized the photo with it's original colors. Next, is the compound color palette, analogous, free, and shades. This assignment was incredibly time consuming, and I found myself restarting plenty of times. It was also really fun experimenting with different color palettes, and seeing what I can turn myself into!

Business Cards

1) This business card is supposed to demonstrate body positivity in a unique abstract way. The figure all the way to the right of the card is actually a curvy female body, followed by the word "posi." The logo for this idea would simply be the body followed by the letter p, as shown on the back of the card. 2) This business card advertises my dream job as a pediatric art therapist. I believe that therapy brings happiness and I wanted to portray that kind of mood in this card. I did that by converting the word therapy into there-happy, and turning the two p's and the y into a smiley face! 3) For this card I wanted to show how zenful I am as a person. I used colors in the background that are known to calm the human mind, because I think that a huge part of being sinful is being calm and relaxed. I then added symbols that signify zen, peace, and equality, and used a groovy font.

CALLIGRAM ~Stoneman Douglas~

On February 14, 2018, a mass shooting occurred at Majory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. A day that is supposed to be filled with an abundance of love, and warmth was quickly altered, and brought nothing but tragedy and heartbreak to those affected by this shocking event.         I have been born and raised in South Florida not far from Douglas High School and hearing this news was incredibly sad and devastating. Seventeen lives were taken away way too quickly, and I was one that worried if anyone I knew had been involved in the shooting. This is extremely terrifying, and is something that no one should ever have to experience.         I was pleased when I received this assignment because I was happy to see that professors at The University of Tampa were showing awareness to the occurrence. However, I do have to admit it was extremely hard to complete. The pain I felt continuously writing ...
